SM Aura | Four Coffee Spots You Must Visit

10.06.2017
When someone says food, I'm there. So it's no surprise when Sm Aura Premier hosted a campaign to boost and appreciate coffee, I hopped on. We may think the prestige mall only holds high-end and luxury brands but there's more to this place, and that is the restaurants and cafes you'll find here. The two day campaign hosted mini workshops and coffee classes to expand our knowledge of art and coffee. Here are the four picks of coffee shops who participated and you need to visit NOW!

PROVIDORE
Providore is a Coffee Bar Bistro that serves a wide array of food and beverages that will wow your palate and definitely fill your tummy. Since we are talking about coffee they gave a live demo of latte art. I learned they don't prepare the coffee the same as others but it's like a coffee milkshake which is thicker and creamier.

They actually just launched a Cortado line (a Spanish-origin general term for a beverage consisting of either coffee or espresso mixed with a roughly equal amount of warm milk to reduce the acidity) with four flavors: regular, chocolate, white chocolate and salted caramel. I got to taste everything and I recommend the salted caramel and the white chocolate.

Providore offers a lot more than their coffee, they have european bread and pastries they freshly bake. So if you happen to drop by be sure to try those!

PAPER MOON CAFE
Known for their Mille Crepe, Paper Moon Cafe wow-ed us with their pastries and coffee selection. I was surprised they served almost all of their mille crepe and cakes, but hey I was glad to taste all of them! If you've had Lady M, then you would be glad to try this out. Their precisely layered crepes are amazing to look at and don't worry because the taste won't disappoint.

For a limited time you can try out their perfect pairings of a mille crepe and coffee for only P260 (if you only buy the crepe it costs 250 so better grab this!)

What I was excited to taste and was impressed was their new flavor, Blueberry Cheesecake Crepe. It was just like what I thought the taste would be and it's packed so make sure to make room for dessert. I was also surprised with the Ube Crepe since they caught the Ube pinoy taste. I would recommend you try the blueberry, ube, strawberry shortcake and checkered cake.

NHA EM
Nha Em which means "my home" is a Vietnamese restaurant that just opened at Sm Aura Premier. Serving authentic and appetizing food they will wow your senses and open a new door for the love of Vietnamese cuisine. To make everything more authentic they even invited Vietnamese interior designers to plan out the place. Going back to the coffee, they use a procedure with a Phin filter where the coffee slowly drips in the cup filled with condensed milk. The coffee is a bit strong and sweet and it will REALLY wake you up.

They also served us some of their best sellers like the Fresh Spring rolls (authentic Vietnamese spring roll with shrimp, basil and rice noodles, with a side of peanut sauce), Fried Spring Rolls (peppered pork, crispy wrapper with a side of fish sauce, love this!), lastly is their Crispy Crepe which is the bomb! You get to pick your veggies, roll it and dip in fish sauce.

LAVA
Our last stop is LAVA, I've been here when they first opened and I felt glad they expanded the original selections they had. You can check my first post here. Lava is owned by Food Asia Philippines who is also behind the famous Bibingkinitan, they make sure that every ingredient they use is to promote local farms around the Philippines.

There are several selection for their coffees and they also offer a special blend where two types of coffees are mixed together to cater for your taste. Here are the coffee they have: Arabica, Robusta, Excelsa and Liberica.

The range of cheese tarts also expanded and you can get to choose if you'd want to put on toppings. Here's the new range: original cheese tart, lava tops, prosciutto and melon gelee, gorgonzola and honey. They also released Eruptions (soft premium cheese ice cream) and you can also pick 3 toppings if you will opt to a cup instead of a cone. I suggest you try them all!

I also made a video from the tour you can watch it here!

Lots of love
