Timeless love | The New Jollibee Pepper Cream Burger Steak

1.21.2017

Jollibee has always been an instant go-to of Filipino families whether it's a birthday, any celebration or even after church. Our favorite dishes like the Chicken Joy, Spaghetti and Burger Steak is a staple to every table. Even tho Jollibee has long been established they continue to evolve and expand their menu to cater to our hungry tummies.

The Jollibee Burger Steak, one of the chain’s best-selling core products, remains a timeless favorite for many Pinoys, thanks to the delicious combination of Jollibee’s signature beef patty, flavor-packed mushroom sauce topped with real mushroom slices, and steamed white rice. This makes for a popular breakfast, lunch, and dinner meal among Jollibee customers of all ages.

Last year they introduced the Burger Steak Sweet and Spicy and it was a hit! Since Filipinos loved the innovation, recently they introduced the Pepper Cream Burger Steak. With a sauce made of real cream and a generous infusion of black pepper, this new Burger Steak variant offers a spark of heat and full-bodied flavors balanced by refreshing sweet corn kernels.

The Jollibee Pepper Cream Burger Steak is the perfect amount of heat, for kids, since some doesn't like pepper so mommies don't worry about giving this to your kids! I love how the juiciness of the burger patty, 100% real beef, compliments with the pepper cream sauce with the added texture of corn kernels.

The Pepper Cream Burger Steak will be available for  dine-in, take-out, delivery, and drive-thru starting January 2, 2017 in Luzon and January 16, 2017 in Visayas and Mindanao. 1 pc Solo is at P50.00* and Value Meal is at P55.00*.

Prices may vary across different locations.

They also served the original Burger Steak along side the Pepper Cream Burger Steak for us to see the different taste of each other. I've always loved the Burger Steak and it's the dish I always order. Now I might change to the Pepper Cream Burger Steak, but both will be close to the heart.

The New Pepper Cream Burger Steak is also best partnered with the Chocolate Sundae and Fries. I dip my fries in my Sundae always!

Along with their new dish, Jollibee also has renovated and improved their interiors adding murals to walls, for example the famous dance move of Jollibee and photos of families.

Jollibee will always be close to our hearts and we can't wait to celebrate more years with you! Cheers!

Too Faced | Born This Way Foundation Review and First Impression

1.17.2017

Last year Sephora launched online in the Philippines and I was ecstatic about it. Sephora holds a lot of international brands which you can't find here locally. What got me extra giddy was too faced is now available! I've been hearing a lot of great reviews about their products from beauty gurus and now I have a chance to try them too.

My first ever product was their Born This Way foundation, purchased last October I think (I know the box is not in it's best form anymore since I use it a lot, putting the foundation inside the box all the time after every use hahaha). What caught my attention about this particular foundation is its claims about the "undetectable coverage", plus it's coconut infused where it replenishes skin moisture levels, who doesn't want that!? Mind you my skin type is dry to normal and a tad oily on my t-zone.

I'm no guru about makeup but this is what I expect for the foundation:
- doesn't have a strong scent (hopefully)
- not tacky to the face and patchy
- easy application
- doesn't look like I have anything heavy on
- medium coverage
- has a pump
- glowy or dewy finish

The product is very well designed, which has an embossed logo on top of the bottle and ornaments around the edges.

SEPHORA - P2351

The bottle is frosted glass so it looks more classy, plus the embossed logo of Too Faced.

CLAIMS (Too Faced - Vegan Friendly)

This revolutionary foundation is infused with a potent combination of Coconut Water to naturally replenish moisture levels; nature’s resilient Alpine Rose to brighten the skin’s appearance and promote elasticity and Hyaluronic Acid for a smoother, more youthful appearance.

Let them think you were Born This Way.

MORE TO LOVE:

  • Medium-to-full undetectable coverage
  • Oil-free
  • Coconut Water helps delicately replenish skin’s moisture levels without overhydrating—for the look of radiant skin
  • Infused with the resilient Alpine Rose to brighten the skin’s appearance and promote elasticity
  • Hyaluronic Acid helps balance skin for a smoother, more youthful appearance
  • APPLICATION TIP: For medium coverage, apply a small amount from the center of the face outward and blend with fingertips, sponge, or brush. Build to full coverage by layering as needed.

As we all know finding the right shade for you is hard and it takes more time to learn what shade you really are in lalo na kapag online ka bumili, the struggle is real. Here I have the shade in SAND which is not the right color for me, as of the moment, since it's a bit darker but if I'm tanned it's the perfect shade for me. Another great thing about Too Faced is a wide variety of shades, they have 18 shades in their website as of now and 12 shades on sephora.

One thing I like about this foundation is it has a pump so it's easier and the foundation is maximized.

The consistency is almost water like and very blendable and buildable, I use a stipling brush when applying on my face. This is what the coverage looks like, it's medium coverage, it looks skin-like in actual and by the way it has a bit of coconut smell which is amazing!

OVERALL
The first time I used this it was instantly love at first use! Here are the things i love about it:
- The smell is amazing
- Medium coverage that looks undetectable, skin-like
- Lasts up to 8 hours or 5 hours unless I sweat (since   it's here at times)
- Design wise it looks elegant
- It doesn't settle on fine lines or cracks
- Sits very well on my nose
- I can use my maybelline powder on top
- Dewy finish

I hope you guys find this helpful! Comment down below if you have questions :)

Kko Kko | Home Of Seoul Chicken

1.06.2017

K-Pop, Korean telenovelas, makeup, clothing are becoming more and more popular today and most of all the food is also something we look forward to. Lots and lots of Korean restaurants and cafes are found everywhere and we found an authentic one at Garnet St. Ortigas. If you love cheese, chicken and Korean food this is the place to be!

Kko Kko, owned by Grace Lee, is a local Korean chicken house where they specialize serving the present day Korean cuisine. Since they serve Korean cuisine all their ingredients are sourced from Korea to keep it's authenticity.

Interiors are simple yet fun and relaxing, color scheme used is to give a light vibe to every diner. Their wall is absolutely instagram worthy! Plus they have a wall full of polaroid photos and short messages from previous diners and also Grace Lee herself. Don't forget to put on #GotToKkoKko on your instagram photos!

There are more or less 15 tables available so don't worry not having a table at this place.

Now the food.

DOSIRAK
Dosirak is very popular in Korea, started in the 70's, for the blue collared job workers and students this served as their "baon" or lunchbox where they put it in their bags and all is mixed inside just like a bibimbap. Dosirak is served with sweet dilis, stewed kimchi and sunny side egg, rice and your choice of meat. They also have an instructional video on how to eat it properly, first you need to have a taste on all the elements before mixing them then pour the sauce, cover, shake it like there's no tomorrow. Ika nga shake it ng gigil, parang gigil sa ex mong iniwan ka haha.

ICED RASPEBERRY TEA, ICED LYCHEE GREEN TEA (P138)
A very cool and refreshing take on iced tea. My favorite is the lychee green tea, but both tastes good.

SOJU SLUSH MELON (P298)
If you're not driving or you're riding an uber don't forget to try their soju slush! This one is a backstabber since the alcohol will hit you minutes after, but it tastes great! This one is in melon flavor and they have it in banana or strawberry.

At first I thought it was an ice cream since they said melona, I didn't expect soju hahaha but it's a great experience to try it.

SNOW CHICKEN IN CHEESE AND CHILI (HALF P288)
I was excited to try their Snow Chicken Cheese since I love cheese so much, they told me that if you love Potato Corner you will definitely love this and it's healthier to eat than fries! The taste was kinda sweet but very flavorful! The chicken also tasted wonderful, we got a winner here!

The Snow Chicken Chili is great for people who LOVE and are devoted to spicy food, I say devoted and love because this one is REALLY SPICY. Grace Lee loves spicy food but this makes her cry but aside from that it's all good :) The spices and flavors are all on point.

CHICKEN CHEESE FONDUE (HALF P588)
Ok, when I said I love cheese I cried when I saw this haha! I have been looking for cheese fondue for a time and I found it here at Kko Kko. The platter is served with fries with the same spice as the snow chicken chili, homemade onion rings, boneless chicken chunks tossed is yang num sauce of your choice.

The flavors we got for the chicken is oh my garlic and sweet chili, I liked sweet chili more. I enjoyed the fries and onion rings on the fondue, it was like what I just imagined it would be. If you're planning to eat with your friends this one is a must!

Here's a video for you guys! Enjoy!

Kko Kko plans on expanding this year to Market Market and Makati so watch out for that!

Overall Experience:
Food - VERY GOOD, you get to taste their culture and cuisine even tho it's the modern day food.
Service - Great, the staff are all attentive to our needs and they are polite.
Parking - Not sure about this one but I think you can park inside the building Kko Kko is in, we just grabbed our way there. The place was not that hard to find too.
Ambiance - K-pop music on the background, place is nice, I love the wodden boxes and plants on it.

Again I had fun with my Kko Kko experience and I can recommend it to everyone. It truly is the Home of Seoul Chicken :)
