Hayejin Global | Pamper and Replenish Your Skin

Skincare is my current obsession and daily ritual. I know we are not getting younger every day but doing this routine helps slow down the signs of aging, plus it's also a form of self-love and some me-time. Of course, skincare takes time for us to see visible results, and some works the longer you use them. Now I have been trying out this skincare line for about 6 months or more and I'm happy to share with you my experience with it! 

Hayejin is a Korean skincare brand where they infuse the essence of nature into the skin with nature-derived ingredients. What they focus on are manufacturing products that are less chemical-based and artificial for the skin to absorb more of the nature-derived ingredients. They have sent me products to try and I was very excited to try them out! They sent me some of their products to try and I have the Blessing of Sprout Toner, Blessing of Sprout Enrich Serum, and Blessing of Sprout Vitality Cream. Just a disclaimer not all skin products I use will be effective for you, skincare is very personal and may vary for different skin types. Also my skin type is combination, normal on the center, and dry on other areas.

Blessing of Sprout Radiance Toner - 1490php

A hypoallergenic radiance toner to help clarify the skin's complexion.

CLAIMS:

- It has radiance capsules which the skin will easily absorb for a brightened complexion.

- It contains natural botanical sprouts, Nelumbo Nucifera Germ extract and 10 more herbs to improve the health of fatigue skin.

- Replenish the skin without the sticky sensation.

- It has 120ml of product.

SMELL:

- Very fresh and a whole lot of fragrance, I'm not a fan of strong fragrances on products but this one will soon fade. It smells like nature.

CONSISTENCY:

- It has a slightly thick watery consistency.

MY EXPERIENCE:

- As I said I'm not a fan of fragrance on products as they sometimes mask the smell of chemicals or other ingredients. It has a strong flowery nature smell to it but you can get past it as it easily fades. I love the fact that all ingredients are safe to use. I actually researched if all ingredients were safe for the skin and they are! This big bottle already lasted for more than 6 months, and it did not irritate my skin. It is not sticky or has a tacky feeling to it. However, sometimes when I open the bottle there are small radiance capsules that get stuck on the cap, but that is ok no need to be bothered by it. Overall it did prep my skin for the next skincare step, well that's the job of toners. Personally, it's on the pricey side and you can get the same result with other toners as well at a cheaper price.

Blessing of Sprout Enriched Serum - 1390php

A silky serum that will help promote anti-wrinkle care and improve complexion.

CLAIMS:

- It has the full energy of Nelumbo Nucifera Germ Extract and sprout extract which are quickly absorbed for smoother skin.

- Penetrates the skin fast plus it's brightening and anti-wrinkle.

- It contains 8 amino acids for damaged skin and boosted to fight wrinkles.

- It has 30ml of product.

SMELL:

- They actually all smell the same as they have same extracts used. But then again you can get past that.

CONSISTENCY:

- It has a smooth silky consistency which dries up in a couple of seconds.

MY EXPERIENCE:

- This serum is a great one, although it was used up faster than the others it gave me a great result. This one dries up in a couple of seconds and is not super tacky. It glides smoothly on the skin and did not irritate me at all. I only use one whole drop on my entire face and I only use this at night. I saw that my skin was glowing, however, the brightening claim to it I really did not see. Is it worth it to buy? I think so, and it will work best paired with their moisturizer.

Blessing of Sprout Vitality Cream - 1490php

A firming cream where the skin will be intensely moisturized.

CLAIMS:

- It has the full energy of Nelumbo Nucifera Germ Extract and sprout extract which are quickly absorbed for smoother skin.

- It has wild resurrection plants to control cell moisture layer and deliver moisture to dry skin.

- It contains shea butter, centella asiatica extract, which restores health to damaged skin.

- Whitening and wrinkle improving.

- It has 50ml of product.

SMELL:

- They actually all smell the same as they have same extracts used. But then again you can get past that.

CONSISTENCY:

- It was a weird feeling when I first touched the product. It seems jelly-like and dense, but you have to scoop it to get the product and not just swipe your finger on it. It feels smooth and jelly-like.

MY EXPERIENCE:

- As I said it was weird at first. I did not know if I should scoop the product or just swipe my finger. For weeks I was just swiping my finger and I was able to get enough amount of product to use on my face and neck. Little did I know I can scoop the product on the tub to get more! I was confused because it looks jelly-like and dense, like when you swipe your finger on it, it won't dent. But good thing I get to use the product and I'm almost done with the entire tub just now! It really moisturizes your skin, and the product does not dry up that fast. It's very thick and moisturizing. Regarding the brightening agent, I didn't see that result. Will I buy it again? Maybe!

Overall the product line is great, it has promising effects and benefits. However, I really did not see the brightening factor. If you think that is a deal-breaker then this may not be the product for you, but if you are looking for natural ingredients on your skincare and really feel moisturized then you should try this line!

Esfolio Daily Eye Cream | Nutri Snail Affordable Anti Wrinkle Eye Cream Review

Aging is inevitable, and one of the signs of aging is wrinkles and most of us don't want those but we can still slow down how our skin will age. There are many ways on how to take care of our skin and one of those is a proper skincare routine. For some washing the face and adding a moisturizer can be enough, but an extensive routine like a 10 step Korean skincare routine may be a more effective choice. I know it sounds a lot, but trust me if you want that flawless youthful glass skin, sacrifices must be made (LOL). As part of the 10 step Korean skincare routine eye creams are important as well, as they specifically are made for the delicate skin under our eyes. Now there are tons and tons of eye creams out there that range from affordable to extremely expensive, but I'll be sharing with you my review with this affordable product I bought from BeautyMNL which is the Nutri Snail Daily Eye Cream.

Research says snail slime is rich in hyaluronic acid, antioxidant properties and can stimulate collagen production. Now, this specific product claims that it deeply nourishes and repairs dry, sagging, and puffing eye skin. It's supercharged with ingredients that boost skin elasticity, moisture retention, and luminosity with daily use. It has adenosine for wrinkles and fine lines, aloe extract, and snail secretion to give the aging eye a subtle lift. It does not brighten dark circles.

Now let's take a look at the product!

WHERE TO BUY:
- I bought mine from BeautyMNL but you can also purchase this from any Esfolio stall.

PRICE:
- 449 pesos for 60ml of product

PACKAGING:
- The packaging is soft-touch which makes it feel and look kinda expensive. There are actually no English instructions and ingredients at the back that's why I always check the BeautyMNL for those. But if you are a Samsung user you can try Bixby and translate the text at the back!

- It is a squeezy tube with a small nozzle to make sure you only get a small amount of the product.

CONSISTENCY:
- It has a white translucent color, but when evened out it becomes slightly watery and transparent. Very moisturizing, but it does not dry up fast.

SMELL:
- It has added fragrance in it, it smells nice but I prefer an odorless one.

INGREDIENTS:
- Water, Glycerin, Squalane, cyclomethicone, Coconut Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Betaine, Snail Secretion Filtrate, Milk Protein Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Extract, Codium Fragile Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Stearic Acid, Adenosine, Glyceryl Stearte, Polysorbate 60, Sorbitan Stearate, Peg-100 Stearate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Carbomer, Arginine, Xanthan Gum, Disodium Edta, Ethylhexylglycerin, Chlorphenesin Fragrance.

HOW TO USE:
- After cleansing or double cleansing your face, apply toner then you can add a pea-size amount, or half a pea-size, to each eye as it is very moisturizing. If you will be layering over makeup just make sure it dries up a little so the concealer won't crease.

WILL I PURCHASE IT AGAIN?
- Maybe? However, I still want to try other eye creams and see how effective they are. As of now, it's still almost full since I only use a small amount. I think it would at least last for a year or two! The expiration date for this one is in 2022 and I bought it just last October! I would give this a go for at least a year or two.

MY EXPERIENCE: (I have combination skin)

- I have been using this almost every night and sometimes in the morning since I bought this, and I believe in prolonged use to see effectivity. After 7 months of usage, I noticed that my under eye area is more nourished looking than before, I have dry skin in that area. However, with the lines so far nothing has changed yet but I hope to see more results from this. In regards to makeup, I sometimes have creasing when I add concealer, maybe it's just the combination of the two products, however when I add a small amount only the creasing is lessened. Overall, I'm alright with the product, it's moisturizing but I'm still waiting to see fewer lines, or at least there won't be new ones! As I said I would be trying this one for at least a year or two to see if things will change.

RECOMMEND IT?

- Great for those who want their under eye area to be moisturized, but for wrinkles it might take more time to see results. It's still an affordable option :)

THE BEST ALOE VERA HYDRATING GEL | Grace Cosmetics

When it comes to skincare products, we always want the tried and tested ones. They are usually the ones who are in the market for years and are continuing to thrive. As a skincare junkie we want all the good ingredients and if possible all-natural ingredients. Grace Cosmetics has been in the industry for over 35 years, originally from Australia where they also manufacture the products, to help every Filipina achieve that beautiful skin.

I have been very lucky to be introduced to Grace Cosmetics and witness how their products work.

From skincare to makeup, they have it all! What I really like about them is they use the best natural and botanical ingredients, and they incorporate organic aloe vera as well. Aloe Vera is one of the most sought after ingredient in moisturizers or any product as they are great humectants, soothes the skin and is easily absorbed. One of their famous product is the Aloe Face Lift Activator and Firming Face Lift Powder. They showed us a demonstration of how it's used and how the person looks before and after.

The two products are to be mixed and applied on a clean face. then after 30 minutes wash it off and you can see the face is tighter and visible wrinkles that were used to be there are now gone!

This can be used I think once a week until you can see visible changes after how many uses.

Now a product I rave about, my ride and die is their 95% aloe hydrating gel! I was not exactly sure what this one is at first and when to use it, eventually I gave it a shot as my night moisturizer. I have been using this one for months already, as you can see the logo's already washed out. Now I can give this a proper review!

According to the website, it's a daily high-potency balancer that instantly hydrates and locks in moisture, awakening a natural, healthy glow.

What to expect:
- Skin looks visibly hydrated and healthy
- Absorbs deep within the skin's surface
- Essential moisture is locked in
- Oil and perspiration is controlled
- Irritations and blemishes are soothed
- Can be used right up to the eye
- Instantly reveals firmer, poreless looking skin

It also consists of natural ingredients and the number one ingredient Aloe Barbadensis Leaf juice, this particular ingredient soothes the skin and serves as an anti-inflammatory, it can also protect the skin from UV damage and many more benefits to the skin.

MY EXPERIENCE:
For those who don't yet I have combination to normal skin, and I'm not acne-prone. The first time I used this consistency was new to me. It's watery and not transparent, but after distributing the product it's completely transparent. Application is also very easy, it may seem too watery at first but the skin will soon absorb the product. I use one pump for my whole face, pat it in then half a pump for my neck. When it comes to smell it has that strong eucalyptus menthol smell that you'll eventually get used to, but it won't be noticeable after how many minutes. 

I have been using this for I think 6 months already and I've seen changes after 2 weeks only. I can see my skin glowing, it's clearer, smoother and I was not irritated. I was really surprised by how this product worked well with me. If I will be having only three products in my skincare regimen, this would make the top three for sure! #realtalk I really love this product, wherever I go I always bring this with me. People also noticed how clear and smooth my skin became! If you aim for glass skin, this is the product for you!

Wacoal just celebrated their 30th year and I'm very glad to have experienced and meet these wonderful ladies last June 26, and be inspired from their stories. Get Polished at Get Polished Nails and Waxing

I'm the type of girl who doesn't always or most of the time get a pampering session, but when I do doing my nails is one of them. I'm not the biggest fan of manicure and pedicure or nail polish but if ever I get one, I'm very meticulous with it. I know there are a lot of girls like me who gets their nails done every once in a while, especially if there's a special occasion. If I get my nails done I make sure to go to a nail salon where I can relax and enjoy my pampering.

Last month I went to visit Get Polished a Sct. Ybardaloza St. in Quezon City and try out their gel manicure. Upon entry the staff are there to assist immediately and provide the service I would like to have. 

They have a lot of nail polish you can choose from and the gel manicure costs 600 pesos. I wanted to have a neutral color so I picked light gray.

The nail technician was friendly and answered everything I asked, what procedure she's doing and what she's using on my nails.

They have this machine where your nails gets dry faster.

For my overall experience

PROS

- It was good since ate was really nice and even though my hands are super wet she did her job properly.

- I liked how the gel polish looked even after a week.

- Pricing for gel nails is good plus their staff does their work well.

- Cool pastel colored walls which relaxes the eyes

- The place was clean

CONS

- There were just some edges that were not filed to the shape that I wanted.

- I think because of the thickness of the layer some nail polish dripped over one side of my nails and it has a bump on the edges.

- Unlike my previous gel manicure this one just lasted to a week and it chipped off, not a fan of the brand they use.

- For the background music I think it was a bit soft so I suggest it a little volume up and maybe add a relaxing scent.

BERDE | Going Green Shouldn't Be Expensive

Nowadays people are more aware about the environment, concerns about plastic usage, chemical ingredients in our daily essentials, and any type of non-biodegradable waste is becoming a hot issue. I, personally, am concerned of the things I use whether it's a body essential or things I normally use from my daily life. We all want to make a difference in this world that's why we need to start with ourselves, whether it's a small change it will soon make a difference and ripple effect to our neighbors. I'm very glad that there are companies or businesses out there who wants to help start that change. One of the examples are green advocate shops like Berde.

Berde launched April last year as a passion project. It wasn't planned at all but I started it because the owners wanted to make eco-friendly products accessible and affordable. Berde's my mission is to make these eco-friendly products accessible and affordable because going green shouldn't be expensive. Getting rid of the notion that living a sustainable lifestyle is only for those who can afford.

REUSABLE COTTON ROUNDS 14pcs (SMOOTH 180php, TEXTURED 200php)

Their reusable cotton rounds have 2 variations, smooth and textured. I personally use a textured cotton round to add a little exfoliation when removing my makeup. This item I recommend to everyone out there, instead of purchasing and throwing cotton pads this is a better alternative. I don't mind washing it especially when it lessens the waste I contribute.

BATH BARS (SOAP AND SHAMPOO)

The Bath bars are perfect bath soaps! I tried it once as a shampoo but I prefer to use it on my body. They have 6 variants, Papaya, Activated Charcoal, Calamansi, Cucumber, Adlai and Turmeric 90php fo 110g and 120php for 140g. What we have here are the Calamansi and Activated Charcoal. I must say matagal siya maubos because I'm still using the Calamansi bar and the smell is sooo good! If you're wondering does it bubble easily, yes it does and feels smooth the skin, it leaves your skin properly moisturized and clean. 

REUSABLE METAL STRAW

We have seen this everywhere, but what I usually notice is that it's a little pricey that's why I'm glad Berde retails them at a VERY AFFORDABLE PRICE.
