Artesania Mnl Cafe | A Hub For Artists

8.23.2017
I love food, whenever I'm stressed and need time for myself I make it possible that I munch on something and maybe watch some movies. I also find time to search for places where I can try something new, discovering new things that I might love and enjoy. For others drawing and coloring relieves stress, like the owners of Artesania Mnl Cafe. The owners wanted a place where artists feel free to make artworks where no one will look at them in a weird way. A place where food and art merges.

Artesania Mnl Cafe welcomes art lovers to their artsy cafe where you can express yourself freely and make artworks. Materials are available if you need them. They also invite artists every weekend to conduct workshops, which is totally free of entrance!

I love this huge chalkboard wall where you can write and leave a mark that you were there! The place is so colorful and I like how they designed ever corner

On the table are some choices of art materials (with prices) you can use. The prices are actually aren't that expensive. You can take home your artwork or you can post it on their wall.

A special art wall is posted where previous artists posted their works, and of course a wall is given to taste buddies (they visited this place too!)

Look how cute! It's all handwritten and I love that the drawings look like doodles. Every corner and flat surfaces are totally instagrammable!

Let's start with their food. Since they are an art cafe we can expect the presentations is totally artsy too! Plus their creativity doesn't stop there, their food names is something we also enjoyed. They make sure everything is connected to art.

LEFT: ICED MOCHA (P140) RIGHT: NUTCRACKER LATTE (P135)
Their drinks are good! You can choose from their cold or hot selection and both won't fail. Here we have the Iced mocha topped with whipped cream, sugar beads and chocolate syrup! On the other side we have their hot beverage, their signature drink, the galaxy latte. We ordered the nutcracker latte, it's one of their best sellers and now we know why! They don't serve sodas, but they have carbonated drinks which is waaaaay better!

POTATO EATERS (P185)
Inspired by Van Gogh, the dips are made to look like a watercolor palette. How cool is that?! We have here barbecue, mustard, blue cheese, and ketchup. I enjoyed the blue cheese mostly also because of the color :)

COME ON, IRENE (P280)
Thin crust pizza topped with garlic and shrimp, sided with a lime. The special ingredient in this pizza is the lime! If you try the pizza on it's own it's a tad salty but the lime neutralizes the taste. It's good they provide a good portion of the lime to cover the whole pizza. I like garlic here because it's not bitter but it gives off great taste and texture to the pizza.

LOVE ME TENDER (P290)
Stroganoff sauce with tender beef (hence the name, love me tender) strips and mushroom. The sauce is creamy and not dry, tho it's a tad salty for my taste it still has good flavor. Their pastas are good for sharing too!

The cafe is a venue for art lovers where they can continually explore and level up their skills. Not only on paper but in all forms of art, recently they had poetry reading and poi dancing workshop. The area can accommodate up to 20 people if you are planning to conduct a workshop or just celebrate here.

Did you know they are going to celebrate their first anniversary this September?! They will be having a coffee appreciation, and a month long celebration yay! Like their facebook page and be updated with all their upcoming workshops!

OVERALL:
Food - Everything tastes good, the saltiness of some dishes can be compensated. I loved their galaxy lattes!
Price - It's a bit steep and not that budget friendly especially for students. However you are also paying for the experience and that adds to the pricing.
Serving - Generous, everything is good for sharing.
Service - There were no staff that time so the owners served our food, and they are hands on!
Ambiance - A cool place to tambay and get creative. I like the lighting and vibe.
Parking - A lot of spaces are available in front of the establishment. They are located on the second floor.
