Kuya J Restaurant

6.30.2016
Get ready to crave for our own comfort food as Kuya J is definitely one of the fastest rising Filipino restaurants in the country!

Kuya J Restaurant, formerly known as "Ang Kan-anan ni Kuya J" started as a humble eatery along the streets of Cebu and is finally making way to the Metro. They offer delicious Filipino food where the core is for the customers to feel the heartwarming experience everytime they visit. Transforming Pinoy dishes into 5-star quality and instagram worthy you will surely love plus a relaxing interior where you'll feel right at home.

I loved the interior where color schemes are neutral and the atmosphere is homey. With their 32 branches and still expanding you should definitely visit one near you! Now onto the food! We ordered 3 dishes and they we're ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS.

Sizzling Mixed Seafood (P280)
The most buttery sauce I've ever tasted! This glorious sizzling mixed seafood includes fish fillet, shrimps, squid and some vegetable seasonings.

Sizzling Sisig with Egg (P190)
Their Sisig is one of the best, instead of using pig ears they used pork belly! The serving size is also great for 1-2 people.

Garlic Rice Platter (P140)
We tried eating on the safe side a bit so we ordered their Garlic Rice Platter and the seasoning and flavor was very rich, I think they cooked this with butter and I love it!

Cebuano Mangga Cheesecake (P130)
For the dessert I almost CRIED because I love cheesecakes and this is one of the best I've tasted. The presentation was simple but the taste represented very well. It's 3 layer of goodness got me sold!

Overall the experience was welcoming and homey, the staff we're all polite and attentive to our needs. I especially liked their wall of wood with books, small plants and quotes. I'd also be glad to try their other dishes like the Crispy Pata and Fried Halo Halo. The price is just right for the serving and taste, and I'm sure I'll be back to try more dishes.

Beiruti Bite Your Authentic Lebanese Cuisine

6.07.2016
Craving for an authentic Middle Eastern Mediterranean cuisine? Then you should definitely try stopping by Beiruti Bite! Found in Quezon City you can enjoy their delicious offers and feel their modern vibe with ornaments straight from Beirut.

Everything straight from Beirut.

I'm really sorry tho for the lack of food porn I got caught up with the food and forgot to take pictures! But you can visit their place to taste for yourself :) All I can say is how more authentic can you get with the food?! The ingredients and tools used for cooking all came from Beirut, cool! The Kebabs are wonderful and the servings are great at nabusog talaga ako. I remembered ordering their Grilled Beef and Kafta with rice and veggies. I also loved their sauces especially the chili sauce, definitely has a spike.

We took a picture with the owner and he was friendly and accommodating :) We were surprised when he let us wear this hat (the red one) which was in his family for i think 100 years! Talk about vintage. Overall it was a good experience, the place, food and price. Oh and you can have your Shisha session with your friends for P195-250.

Hong Kong | Day 3

6.06.2016
Hong Kong is such a great place, we enjoyed traveling by foot tho by night time we get very exhausted. We haven't taken a lot of photos for our 4th and 5th days so here's my last upload for our Hong Kong trip.

We found a great Kebab House where they serve delicious Turkish cuisine in Ashley road. It's a Chicken Doner and it's SUPER DELICIOUS. I hope we have this here in the Philippines! If you know where kindly comment below! I would really love to try it again :)

Causeway Bay

Our trip was fantastic and memorable. Sulit na sulit. I'll surely miss the great weather and delicous food. Till my next post!

Hong Kong | Day 2

4.27.2016
They say one of the best ways to get to know the city is to get lost in it. For our 2nd day we went around the city by foot and here is our adventure.

They serve the BEST cheese tart, too bad i ate it all to show you hahaha. I was really glad to see this cute shop as some of you may know I love cheese and dairy. If you want to try this drop by at Tsim Sha Tsui Cameron Rd.

Mongkok Ladies Market. This is where to find the best pasalubong to your family and friends. Always remember na tumawad when you buy!

You can take the MTR or their bus to get to Mongkok.

They sell the tastiest snack, it's like a waffle with peanut butter and margarine on it.

Since we can't find Chatime here this is the closest we got. Good thing it tastes as good as Chatime! :)

Temple Street, another night market where the place is surrounded by food and culture.

You can get here by taking the MTR, get off on Jordan.

Hong Kong is a great City with a lot of streets to get lost to. Enjoy!

Hong Kong | Day 1

4.22.2016
Hong Kong is one of the most visited countries in the world and is know for its rich culture. Last March we had a trip to Hong Kong, and the season was not what we expected. Back in the Philippines was scorching hot but when we landed there SUPER lamig and we brought summer clothes hahaha. I was glad to go back after 10 years even though death defying ang experience.

Sharing with you our day 1 experience :)

Tsim Sha Tsui mtr station

This is their Mcdonalds, the best one I've seen yet where you can create your own burger! Awesome!

For our first day we went to Ocean Park

Madame Tussauds wax museum in the peak tram

For those who wants to visit Hong Kong and is in a budget there are places to stay here where it's cheap but is very clean like a Guest House in Chung King Mansion, you can try Comfort Guest House E which is highly recommended and look for Marissa. She will help and guide you throughout your stay in Hong Kong.

Lots of love
