When we were kids one of the things that makes us stop crying or just make us giddy is when there's ice cream or any cold dessert. Until now it works for a lot of people especially when the summer arrives or just a hot day, cooling off with a cold dessert calms us. Although the season now might still be cool, there's no stopping us from enjoying some shaved ice! Snow Creme is the first to offer Taiwanese shaved ice and was established since 2013. You may think "isn't this just like Bingsu?", no because what sets them apart is they have their own special mix and you can customize your own dessert! So how did all this started? Snow Creme is the brain child of Bryan and Michelle after discovering what's new in the scene of Taipei's food choices. Since our weather is tropical, it's the perfect cool off snack for everyone.
They currently have two branches, one in Maginhawa (where we went), and one in Banawe. You can easily find the location since it's just in front of the Barangay hall. Although there is no parking space, you can find one in the streets near.
Inside, you can see it's well lit and has a lot of tables to cater more customers. They have 2 tables for bigger groups, one near the entrance and the other near the counter. It's actually a chill place since it's quiet and I bet you can enjoy chatting with your friends.
Here's a framed photo of their whole menu! I think this is helpful too!
Here is the menu, you can see one above the counter, all of their shaved ice menu but they also have other offerings! For the milktea lovers out there they also have something for you. They have a wide variety of menu actually and not only desserts and drinks but they also offer snacks! So it's a great place to catch up with friends.
Now let's see their famous shaved Ice! The price range for Medium is from 110 - 140 and Large is 160 - 190.
CHEWY CHOCO CRUMBLE (M 140, L 190)
For the chocolate lovers you should try their Chewy Choco Crumble! It has the right amount of sweetness for a chocolate. The ice slowly melts in your mouth and you can enjoy the crumbs and other ingredients of this. It has chocolate ice, crushed cookies, caramel and chocolate drizzle and brownies. I liked it although the brownies we're a bit dry. By the way this is the medium sized serving. Two people can already share with it!
TAIWANESE SHAVED ICE (M 140, L 190)
If you're into milktea, like me, you will enjoy this! This is their famous Taiwanese Shaved Ice, their version of "Taiwanese Halo-Halo". At first bite of the shaved ice it already melts in your mouth and you can taste immediately that it's like a milktea. They used brown sugar ice and all of the toppings are hand-made with all-natural ingredients, no preservatives, coloring and flavoring. It consists of red beans, pearls, grass jelly, taro balls and sweet potato balls. The taro and sweet potato balls are actually chewy just like the pearls, which I like. *RECOMMENDED
GOLDEN MANGO (M 130, L 180)
And lastly is the Golden Mango. Any mango dessert is a must try for me, and this one is a must try for you guys. It has mango flavored ice, mangoes, milk pudding and mango drizzle. You can taste the richness of the mango flavors in this bowl. The milk pudding balances all the mango flavors and the texture is just right. *RECOMMENDED
You also have the option to create your own shaved ice mix by choosing a snow ice base, add fruits, toppings, and finally drizzle with your choice of syrup. I forgot to ask how much it costs but I think it's still in the range of their medium and large pricing.
There are a lot of stores out there who offers shaved ice but Snow Creme is one of the must try, if you opt to create your own this is the place you can go to. It's a great place to bond with your friends, do homework or just anything! If your down, stressed or just want to relax, Keep calm and eat Shaved Ice :) OVERALL: Food - The shaved ice are all great! Taste, flavor combinations are good and enjoyable. Price - It's still in the same price range, plus the factor of hand-made ingredients and all good. Serving - No problem with it. Service - Ate at the counter was very helpful with all my questions :) Ambiance - It's a chill place like I said, you can study here and bond with friends over dessert, snacks or coffee. Parking - That's the only down side since it's Maginhawa you'll have slight inconvenience. We parked in front of Streat, since it's still close, but it's not that far so walking is ok. As pinoys we are used to combining food and making a seamless new creation our palates enjoy and would pass down to our generation. Like combining tuyo to champorado or strawberries with condensed milk. There are soooo many combinations we could come up with and a good thing is Jollibee always catches up to our taste buds and creates new flavor combinations we will surely love. To kick off the year, Jollibee released their first innovation, and that is the Strawberry Choco Sundae. The all-new flavor of Jollibee's vanilla soft-serve ice cream is topped with a layer of chocolate fudge, strawberry syrup, chocolate coating and chunks of chewy brownies! This launch has got me really excited since I'm a big fan of strawberries and Jollibee added them to their menu, plus with more ingredients to make our tummies happy!
During the launch tables are filled with these big baskets of chocolate bars and strawberries! It's a joy when you see creativeness not only with the sundae but also with every presentation.
So here is the Strawberry Choco Sundae!
My thoughts on these the first time they announced it was I'm not sure how it would taste like, since they are mixing two syrups that are strong already when served apart. I admit I was doubting it, BUT when I got that first bite WOW. You won't even recognize that there are two different syrups used here, they melted with each other in harmony at it tastes amazing. All the more I was glad with this because of the chewy brownies! I thought that brownies would be dry and flaky, but NO. I must say before my favorite flavor was the Salted Caramel but now I think this is my NEW FAVORITE!
Indulge in the wonderful flavors of chocolate and strawberry with the Strawberry Choco Sundae, which will be available in all Jollibee stores nationwide starting January 15, 2018. This dessert lover’s dream-come-true will be available for dine-in, take-out, delivery, and drive-thru for only P39.00* (solo).
Holiday season is one of the best excuses for families can dine out and enjoy some quality time and good food. For some, tradition comes with eating out may it be Noche Buena or Media Noche and for some it can be a new experience rather than just eating at home. I, for one can vouch that every year more families enjoy eating out during Christmas time and/or New Year. Malls are fully packed with parents, kids, titos, titas, lolos and lolas looking for a restaurant that can accommodate them or somewhere where they can enjoy good food and some music. To offer Filipinos a new way to celebrate the New Year festivities, Fruitas Holdings have arranged activities in Le Village Lifestyle Park.
Last Januray 1 2018, Le Village held an event called "New Year in the Park" where families can enjoy eating together while being entertained with human statues and a live band. If you're curious where to find this sosyal place it's along E.Rodriguez cor. Cordillera and it's not that hard to find! You'll immediately see the sakura trees and the big dome, plus I think this is the only open place in the area. So how do you get there? DIRECTIONS From Lawton: Ride a Proj 2 and 3 jeepney, when you reach Welcome Rotonda you're just a few meters away. It's located at the left side before the stoplight. From Quezon Avenue: Ride a jeepney going to Quiapo or Welcome Rotonda, get off at Welcome Rotonda and cross on the overpass going to the E. Rodriguez side (if you see KFC go there) You can either ride a jeepney, proj 2 3 or Cubao, or just walk. You're just a few meters away! It's located at the left side before the stoplight. From Cubao: Go to the side of lrt 2 and ride a jeepney going to Quiapo. You'll pass Araneta and Banawe, then the next street is where you'll get off (Cordillera) and you'll immediately see the dome and open area (right side so you won't have to cross)
Le Village is actually spacious and a relaxing place since trees are around the area. It's a European themed food park so it's clean, coordinated and relaxing to the eyes. You can see lighted sakura trees, a fountain and their famous dome where you can take selfies and ootd shots!
On that day upon entrance you can see a big 2018 decor where you can write down on post its your new year's resolution or goals. Of course I posted my own goal and shared it with everyone else. As the highlight of the celebration, diners were entertained by a live band performance from GSeven Band. Everyone were singing along with their mix of pop and jazz songs. Human statue performers around the venue also added to the entertainment.

If you're thinking "What if it rains?" well they already thought of that and placed tents that will cover every inch of this place and it won't be a hassle. They also have 15 tenants (such a wide variety!) and we got to try out one of their best sellers! However I will give my top 7 dishes that I'm sure you too will enjoy!
1. SABROSO - For 145 pesos you get to enjoy this tasty Lechon! The difference thay have with others is that they use Bacolod lechon. Their sarsa is a bit new to my taste since it's a bit tangy but it fits with the lechon's taste.
2. LE PETIT PARISIENNE - Changing it up a bit, they sell wine at Le Village so you can enjoy a wine and cheese night too. The place offers only French wines and we got to enjoy this Shanpelino Peach Sparkling wine bottle for only 390 pesos!
3. AHLEE'S - I have featured this before in my 150 Maginhawa Food Park post and I didn't enjoy it so much back then since lumamig na pagkain namin kakapicture, but here I got to enjoy it while it's still warm. Nakakaloka ang lambot ng Porterhouse Steak (large) and it's very tasty! If it's a bit salty for you, you can balance it out with their buttery mashed potato. We were thinking if they used powder for this but it's legit potato with lots of butter and I love it!
4. SHOU - I love their dishes here, especially the braised beef noodles! It's tasty, the meat is tender and it's a tad spicy! Plus here at Le Village they offer rice too! So more choices for everyone.
5. GOCHILLA - They offer japanese food and lemme say I liked their Ebi Tempura, the batter is not overpowering the shrimp. Delicious!
6. CHICKEN CARTEL - I love buffalo wings, whenever I crave for it we ALWAYS go to Buffalos Wings and Things and I always order their garlic parmesan. When I tasted Chicken Cartel's garlic parmesan I was reminded of Buffalo Wings and Things! Love it!
7. HALO HALO ISLANDS - Lastly for dessert, halo halo is the winner since they offer a lot of variety with the flavors. You can taste every province's specialty, like in Bicol you'll taste a bit of spicyness, in Cebu they have mangoes, in Davao they have Durian and in Tagaytay they have Pineapples.
Here is a video I made of our experience there, plus with all the food and live performance of the GSeven Band.
When you visit Le Village Lifestyle Park make sure to post ootd photos, lits of them because it's worth it :)
I love coloring my hair, ever since I started with a dark brown shade, going lighter and lighter after every color and now I'm enjoying different shades. Having a purple hair is a bit harder to maintain. Chemicals from hair coloring starts to damage the hair and strip it off of natural oils and nourishment. While coloring and bleaching my hair finding the perfect hair product, like shampoo and conditioner, that will help maintain my hair color and is sulfate-free is not such a hunt. L'oreal EverPure Moisture with rosemary deeply replenishes dry hair with essential moisture. It is 100% sulfate-free haircare and is the best for your hair and scalp.
EverPure have different variants but here I have the Sulfate-Free Moisture Shampoo and Moisture Conditioner. So let's talk about the claims. Moisture Shampoo: gently cleanses dry hair to replenish essential moisture, lust-touch softness and luminous shine. Color-treated hair requires special care. Keeps color pure for up to 4 week.s Color-treated hair requires special care. Our formulas are especially gentle on color. This sulfate free hair color has no salts or surfactants that can strip, dull and damage hair. 100% Sulfate Free, Paraben Free, No Harsh Salts, Vegan** Moisture Conditioner: Deeply replenishes dry hair 2x more moisture,lush-touch softness and luminous shine. Keeps color pure for up to 4 weeks. Hair that has been dyed requires special care. Our conditioner for color-treated hair is especially gentle on color. This moisture conditioner for dry hair has no harsh sulfates, salts or surfactants that can strip, dull and damage hair. 100% Sulfate Free, Paraben Free, No Harsh Salts, Vegan**
MY EXPERIENCE Smell - I love the scent! It's floral and fresh and stays all day long. Softness - I must admit I wasn't fully satisfied with the performance although it's sulfate free, paraben free harsh salts free and vegan. I just didn't achieve the softness I get with other products even if I let it sit on my hair for 5 minutes. Hair Color - Usually my hair color is stripped out gradually with other conditioners, but on this one it only strips off less hair color so that's a win! Price - It's not that pricey and you get 250ml of product! OVERALL I love the fact that it's all free of the harsh chemicals other products have but I'm not fully satisfied with it's performance, how my hair is not softer than usual, I'm not saying it doesn't give softness nakukulangan lang ako. Although it claims to provide proper moisture for colored hair, maybe I just don't feel it? haha I don't know. The smell is amazing tho, it's subtle and lasts all day. It's like you entered a room of flowers! Question is am I gonna use it again? I'm not sure, but maybe I can find another hair product that is free of harsh chemicals and can provide the softness I'm looking for. Don't let my experience discourage you, maybe this product will be enough for your hair needs. That's it! I hope this review helps if ever your thinking of trying out this product. Lots of love Alyssa ♥
