Peri-Peri Turns 12!

Celebrating 12 years in the Food Industry is a milestone! It is a proof of how good the food and dining experience is. 2017 for Peri-Peri was a year of improving many facets of the restaurant according to Bryan Tiu, and 2018 will be a year to conquer great heights and many more discerning palates. 

Renowned for its Charcoal Grilled Chicken, BBQ Back Ribs, and 8 character-filled sauces, the restaurant has been steadily carving out its space among hearts of foodies in and out of the Metro since opening its first branch back in 2005.

Peri-Peri recently launched a series of tv and online ads featuring Enchong Dee, official endorser. As a youthful and optimistic person, he is the perfect embodiment of what Peri-Peri is. As a fan of the restaurant Enchong fell in love with Peri-Peri not only because they offer the best chicken in the Metro but also because of the quality and love they put in every dish.

The restaurant also added more than forty new dishes in the menu! Taking inspiration in South American, Peri-Peri tweaked each dish to capture the local taste. A selection of small plates was introduced recently, each item can be enjoyed as an appetizer that complements the already superb chicken and ribs. A more surprising news is that they only cost about 100-150 pesos!

Here are some of the dishes you'd want to sink your teeth into!

(left) Fish Sticks
- Crunchy, lightly breaded fish fillet pieces balanced out by Tartar sauce.

(right) Salted Egg Potato Chips
- Crispy thin slices of potato tossed in trendy salted egg flavor.

(left) Pastelillos de Carne
- Light and flaky mini turnovers filled generously with slow-cooked pulled pork.

(right) Chorizo Con Quezo Fondido
- A sumptuous blend of cheddar and mozzarella cheese melted together in a skillet then topped with meaty chorizo bits, served alongside crisp nacho dips.

(top left) Grilled Bacon Wrapped Meatballs
- Lean Angus beef meatballs wrapped in savoury bacon then grilled and tossed in out Asian sauce.

(bottom left) Patatas Bravas
- Potatoes fried to golden brown perfection then topped with flavorful meat sauce, tangy sour cream, and glorious melted cheese.

(right) Mozzarella Sticks
- Sticks of gooey Mozzarella breaded then fried until golden brown; served with marinara sauce and caesar dip.

To further bolster its market presence, Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken & Sauce Bar intends to open up more stores in the coming months. More stores are set to open soon at Ayala Feliz, Marikina, SM Marikina, Okada Manila, Robinsons Manila, Britanny Square, Fairview, Robinsons Magnolia, Banaue, Quezon City and Resorts World Manila among other.

Through a combination of mouth-watering food accented by a playful ambiance; Peri-Peri has built a food empire that is as distinct as it is exciting.

Make Your Media Noche Extra Special With Danes Cheese Ball

The Holiday Season is the most special time of all for us Filipinos. It's the time where families get to see each other again, bond with your favorite cousin, have fun conversations with your favorite Tita, munch over your Lola's famous recipe or simply celebrate the season of giving and joy. Tho the season is almost coming to an end, that doesn't mean family gatherings and celebrations have to stop. Christmas may be over but there are a few days left before New Year comes and that still gives us time to spend it with our loved ones.

Speaking of New year we have this famous Media Noche and every family cooks their favorite recipes! I for sure am excited for my Lola's Caldereta, especially when it's cheesy, but since we're kicking off the new year we can also take up a notch some of our favorite recipes with some cheesy twists!

I will never forget Cheese Balls because for our family having this at our dinner table during Holiday Season is a must. So instead of just adding this creamy and flavorful cheese to our pandesal or tasty bread why not add them to other recipes! Here are 4 recipes I'm sure your family serve, and we can take it up a notch with Danes Cheese Ball.

1. Creamy Spaghetti
Spaghetti is a staple for every occassion especially when there are kids, so this season why not make your spaghetti creamier with cheese mixed into the sauce! Plus you can sprinkle a lot of it on top for the perfect finish.

2. Caldereta
My Lola makes the most delicious Caldereta I've ever tasted! Tho it's already perfect we can still try to make it more extra. Instead of using our typical cheese I'd suggest to use Danes Cheese Ball for a creamier and full taste to the sauce.

3. Baked Tahong
I will never say no to a baked tahong! This was the only recipe where I'd eat tahong. You can make it more special by adding a cup of grated danes cheese ball on top! I assure you this will smell amazing!

4. Fruit Salad
Of course the famous Fruit Salad is present in every table! You can add cube cheese from Danes Cheese Ball into your famous recipe and voila! The kids, cousins, titos and titas will surely love it!

Scents are a strong factor when it comes to our mood, it may remind us of happy memories, places we've traveled or just boost our mood for the day. I was a bit shocked when I first smelled the Choco Almond, it's like entering a chocolate shop which smells amazing and it makes me crave mooore chocolate. It smells exacty like peppermint!

Oh the Berry Kiss is my favorite scent! It reminds me of a Victoria Secret perfume and I definitely feel sexy with this scent. This will heavenly inside my room!

The Ginger Flower so far is my least favorite in the line but it still smells great. I think this will suit best in our shop! It smells welcoming and warm.

Gorgeous Hair With Symply G

Just early this year I started to experiment with my hair and colored it a lot of times. I tried going gray and then violet and I don't plan to stop just yet. However for those who have already colored and bleached their hair, I know you can relate, our hair becomes damaged everytime we color it. It becomes dry, frizzy and most of all the hair fall. Every time I wash my hair I get at least 20 strands of hair in the drain and that worries me. Hair is our crowning glory ladies that's why we need to take care of it. I'm an advocate of washing you hair with conditioner only and maybe shampoo once or twice a week so we won't strip the hair with natural oils.

One of the important factors our hair has is Keratin, it keeps our hair strong and youthful. However when we put chemicals on our hair, we strip it off and hence the dry and frizzy hair. The good news is we found a LOCAL brand that caters to these dry and frizzy hair problems. Symply G products are infused with Argan Oil to renew dry and damaged hair.

They have their Shampoo which is best for Rebonded or Colored Hair as well, keeping it straight, soft and shiny.

- I let the conditioner sit for about 3 minutes on my hair, tho a minute is already enough.

- I felt my hair very soft and salon like after I blow dried it

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory | Molito

Chocolate has always been our favorite go-to dessert whether it's a simple one we can buy from our neighborhood sari-sari store or from our favorite chocolate shop. This delectable treat never fails to lighten up our mood that's why I was very glad to attend the opening of the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory's 4th branch. If you're a big fan of chocolate then you're in for a treat! The south peeps, people from Alabang, can now fully enjoy what Rocky Mountain has to offer without the hassle travel to the North.

Their Molito Branch is their second cafe where signature beverages and exclusive offerings are available. The place recently just opened it's doors and the timing is perfect this Christmas season where you can start shopping gifts for your loved ones or friends!

A bit of background, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory originated from Durango, Colorado with founder Frank Crail and through time expanded to hundreds of chocolate shops throughout the United States, Canada, the Middle East and now, Asia-Pacific. 

I remember walking around UP Town Center when I first noticed their store because of this big bear sitting in front of their store. Looking through the display glass with all the dreamy looking caramel apples, frozen dipped bananas and chocolates I can devour I can't help but drool! I was amazed at how they look like and how they made me want to take them all home.

The feeling is quite the same here, upon entrance you can see a good amount of chocolate, caramel apples and frozen dipped bananas in display. It makes the kid inside of you giddy just by looking how awesome these desserts look. It also gives you that feeling when you just want to take a bite out of everything or you don't know where to start because everything looks so damn good. You can also smell the delicious taste of chocolate and the feeling is heavenly.

I know some of you wants to ask how much these are, well the price range is about from 100 to 500 and yes it's a pricey, BUT the taste is very luxurious and their chocolates DON'T DISAPPOINT.

Here is a part of their menu, on the this side they have their iced beverages and on the other side they have their hot beverages. We ordered the Iced Mountain Latte, which I forgot to take a picture.

Loads of chocolate you can buy as a snack or give as a gift to your sweet tooth friend *ehem.

Since the store is new, they also have new offerings:
1. Signature Triple Chocolate Soft Serve - Decadent soft serve made with real chocolate on a crunchy chocolate waffle cone

2. Signature Chocolate Shots (available on weekends only) - Made with rich Rocky Mountain chocolate then filled with light cream and strawberry

3. Chocolate Lava Cake and Brownie Ala Mode, both served with vanilla ice cream and dollop of chocolate

4. Sandwiches and Pies - Puff pastries with sausage, chicken curry, chili con carne, or tuna toasted to perfection

We also made our very own caramel apple chocolate snowman! I'll have a video posted making this cute guy.
